Twenty years' experience with social science relating to various aspects of the EU Common Fisheries Policy and national fisheries management systems, as well as broader issues of marine governance and fish as a food source. 

Current areas of research and interest:

  • The sustainable and climate-friendly fisheries of the future, incl. certification
  • Danish marine governance and planning, particularly the balance between nature and fisheries activities
  • Democratic participation in marine issues
  • Sustainable coastal communities, incl. issues around fisheries and ITQs
