Research profile

Has both quantitative and qualitative research experience. Has a particular interest in psychosocial epidemiology (stress, social support, health literacy, social inequality, well-being, working hours, etc.) and clinical epidemiology in relation to e.g. labour market attachment. Has extensive experience with register research and is responsible for an authorization at Statistics Denmark. Experience with development and validation of scales as well as conducting surveys, i.a. in relation to the HLS19 project on measurement of health literacy.

Participant in M-POHL, a project under WHO-Europe, co-chair in the working group on communicative health literacy.

In relation to qualitative methods, I have worked with interviews, observation and text analysis. Has been involved in interventions, particularly with regard to the healthcare system and its evaluation. Current projects related to organizational health literacy and communicative health literacy between health personnel and patients.

Development, planning and teaching at bachelor's, master's, postgraduate and PhD levels in quantitative methods (epidemiology, statistics, scale validation, public health science, data management and documentation as well as healthcare organization and regulation).
