Research profile

My research focuses on Sustainability Transitions, specifically examining the pivotal role of design within this domain. This entails two primary objectives: firstly, conducting a rigorous review and critique of existing scholarly literature on design and transitions to identify gaps and areas for advancement; and secondly, revising design methodologies to tailor and implement tools and experiences derived from product, service, and system design in order to effectively address sustainability challenges.

Of particular significance is the imperative to enhance and expand systemic and ecological approaches, aligning with the overarching goal of fundamentally restructuring the societal systems. While considerable attention has been directed towards advancing energy transitions within the academic community, my research diverges towards a less explored territory: mobility transitions.

Within this realm, I engage in comprehensive examination, experimentation, and refinement across various dimensions of design. This encompasses the formulation of novel regulations, development of innovative metrics, and establishment of alternative valuation frameworks pertinent to mobility, alongside the conceptualization of systemic frameworks and the promotion of sustainable behaviors. Through these endeavors, I aim to contribute to the scholarly discourse and practical implementation of sustainable mobility initiatives, thereby facilitating meaningful societal transformation.
