Personal profile

Research profile

My primary research interest lies in uncovering new knowledge on the effects and adaptations induced by strength training, and in improving how strength training is carried out in practical settings to maximize results.

As such, my research focus currently follows three distinct paths:

1) Basic research investigating neural adaptations induced by strength training, primarily within the areas of intermuscular coordination or motor control.

2) Applied research investigating the effects of strength training on clinical populations, for instance breast cancer survivors.

3) Applied research investigating the effects of strength straining on elite sports performance, for instance flat water sprint kayak.
