Research profile
Henrik C. Pedersen received an M.Sc. degree in electro-mechanical system design from Aalborg University in 2002 and a Ph.D. degree from Aalborg University in 2007. He became an Assistant Professor in 2006 and an Associate Professor in 2009. Since 2016 he has been Professor (mso) at the Department of Energy, working with both research and education of students within the field of mechatronics. Since 2021, he has furthermore held the position of Head of Section for the Mechatronic Systems section.
His research interest focuses on the design, optimization, and control of mechatronics systems in general but fluid power systems and components in particular. This includes mobile machinery, digital hydraulics, and industrial hydraulics, but has, in the later years, focused on fluid power for wind and wave applications, with a special focus on reliability, condition monitoring, fault detection and diagnostics of these system and components.
